Nopi

Foodie magazines are hailing London as the new culinary capital of the world. I couldn't agree more & have picked a better time to move here !

One of the restaurants that recently opened and I think is brilliant is NOPI. I dined here in May, came back in June, and definitely have plans to come back again this year ! The food is really special, focusing on small plates packed with lots of flavour and intense ingredients. It's the same style of cooking in their famous chain Ottolenghi (which is so worth me going to Islington - just to eat), North African, Middle Eastern, Asian inspired dishes made with fresh herbs, spices, and plated so very prettily !
Here are some of the dishes we've tried...

Courgette and Manouri fritters with lime yoghurt
Chargrilled Octopus with salmorejo sauce and morcilla
Grilled mackarel, red lentils, smoked labneh & mint sauce
It's best to come in a small group and share a few dishes amongst the table, so you can try as many different ones. There are some really rich dishes in the Meat portion of the menu, and would suggest trying to resist ordering everything at the beginning, as the desserts are to die for.

I am definitely booking another meal here!
