I read an interesting article on the
Wall Street Journal on "Fashion's Great Confusion" this season, where no clear trend dictates emerge. Instead, I have to agree that the universal topics facinate us right now are the succession to the Dior designer throne and what the Duchess of Cambridge will be wearing next !
This Fall, I like:
- Polka dots - Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney featured dots heavily on their runways. This Fall it's all about a sexy version of the dot, not your auntie's frumpy frock - think streamlined silhouettes, and sheer fabrics dotted all over. For those who won't go spotted all the way, check out Wolford's new polka dot tights - fun !

Stella McCartney |
- Pointed Toe Shoes - One of my favourite toe shapes for shoes makes a come back - finally we can start getting rid of those round toe shoes!

Prada |
- 60s - I just love fashion from from the 60s! Prada and Burberry's collections were on the mark from those cute coats, to those lustful Prada mary janes in red suede.
- S&M - Louis Vuitton's coquettish collection will heavily dictate my naughty but nice Fall wardrobe!

Celine |
- Jewel Tones - this season I am loving the golds, emerald green and ruby reds all over the runways. I love Celine's collection with its rich red palette, inspired by fast cars.

Haider Ackermann |
- Haider Ackermann - what a collection ! Luxurious fabrics, great silhouettes, the perfect outfit for the modern day woman / urban warrior. I loved the contrasts between hard and feminine in his outfits. Drop waists, 40s style influenced, a blend of tailored and soft pieces - lots of wearable pieces and inspirational ideas for this season!
